The various possible configuration levels for a pressure measurement solution are not defined conceptually in virtually any standard. At WIKA we have chosen the following terminology:

Typically, it usually is coded and ordered as a catalogue product and thus provides the customer with a plug-and-play solution. A pressure sensor module is made for OEM applications. It delivers a standardised and calibrated signal, but could be customised with regard to connections and size. EMC precautionary measures must be arranged in the client application.
Sensor elements and their assemblies
Sensor elements and their assemblies
Sensor elements and their assemblies deliver an uncalibrated signal in mV/V and may be made to suit the customer through corresponding modifications of the pressure connection or addition of an incident etc. Here the client is responsible for the calibration and therefore for the accuracy achieved.
